Clifford Rowan Retrospective opens on October the 9th at 6pm.

Now in his eighties, the exhibition spans the work of several decades, Clifford Rowan went to St Martins after the war with Frank Auerbach and Sheila Fell and was aquainted with L.S.Lowry. His dreamlike figuration moved away from the fashion for both abstraction on the one hand and social realism on the other. This will rightfully place Rowan as a vital part of the modern british canon.
